OMRON's Face Recognition Technology for IoT

The HVC sensor incorporates Omron’s unique image recognition algorithm (OKAO), giving it the ability to detect faces at very high speeds and accuracy. OKAO vision technology for recognizing human face expression, gender, age, gaze and blink into a camera module. Several image-sensing functions are available for recognizing human conditions in various perspectives: (1) face detection, (2) human body detection, (3) hand detection (4) face direction estimation, (5) gaze estimation, (6) blink estimation, (7) age estimation, (8) gender estimation, (9) expression estimation, (five facial expressions: neutral, happiness, surprise, anger & sadness) and (10) face recognition

The HVC sensor offers best in class facial detection technology that is easy to use on a self-contained device. The sensor allows designers to add intelligence and functionality to many applications and products with minimal effort. It can recognize 5 million facial images simultaneously at an ultra-high speed. It has the ability to search for a face form among the 34.000 images in a mere 0.02 seconds.
